Special times should be marked in special ways: for the 30th anniversary of the Audi Summer Concerts in Ingolstadt, an online version of the music festival will be held. Under the motto “Together for Music”, from 2 to 5 July 2020 high-caliber artists will come together for concerts at the invitation of the artistic director Lisa Batiashvili.

Even sharper, even more spectacular, and with a new operating concept: Audi has revised the RS 5 Coupé (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 9.1 (25.8 US mpg); combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 208 (334.7 g/mi) and the RS 5 Sportback (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 9.2 (25.6 US mpg); combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 209 (336.4 g/mi). The Audi A3 established the premium compact class in 1996. The brand with the four rings is now presenting the fourth generation of its successful model. A technology and success story from Audi is celebrating a major birthday, as the quattro drive system turns 40 years old. Since the original quattro first made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 1980, the principle of four-wheel drive has become one of the cornerstones of the brand. To date, Audi has produced almost 10.5 million cars with quattro drive systems. Now, it is time for the next chapter in this particular success story: The prototypes Audi e-tron S and e-tron S Sportback use electric torque vectoring.
Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler driver Lucas di Grassi also collected valuable points in the fifth round of the Formula E season. With a hard-fought 7th place in Marrakesh (Morocco), the Brazilian maintained 5th place in the drivers’ championship of the electric racing series.

After three consecutive victories, Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler had to settle for 6th place for Lucas di Grassi in the 2020 Formula E race in Mexico City. Teammate Daniel Abt was able to start the race after a massive accident in practice, thanks to a strong team performance.
For the first time, Audi Sport Team Valvoline is tackling the most important endurance race in Australia with three Audi R8 LMS. At the opening event of the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC), the only worldwide GT3 racing series, eight Audi Sport drivers will be on the grid together with Australian pro Garth Tander. Two race cars fielded by local teams are complementing the brand’s lineup. Competing again in the Pro-Am class at Bathurst will be Audi Sport’s long-standing customer team Hallmarc that scored podium finishes in its class in 2017 and 2019, while Tony Bates Racing will be competing there in the Silver Class with Audi for the first time.
Audi is the world’s first automotive brand to network its series-production models with city traffic lights. In the USA, Audi customers have already been using the vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) service Traffic Light Information since late 2016.
Formula E started 2020 with a spectacular race in Santiago de Chile. Lucas di Grassi from the Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler team thrilled the South American fans with a forward charge from 22nd place on the grid to seventh place.
Spectacular duels, gripping overtaking maneuvers and an awesome photo finish in the end: The second joint race of the DTM and the SUPER GT made spectators at Fuji, Japan, jump from their seats. One of the protagonists on Sunday: Audi driver Lo?c Duval, who still secured a podium finish with a sensational fightback following a puncture.
After two successful years with a total of 17 title wins worldwide, Audi Sport customer racing updated the Audi R8 LMS GT4. From the 2020 season onward, customers will benefit from enhanced aerodynamics and setup options allowing for greater customization. A new look rounds out the car’s appearance.
In 2019, Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi are jointly entering their sixth Formula E season. No other pairing in the fully electric racing series has contested so many races as team mates. And none has been as successful: with 40 podium finishes and more than 1,000 points, Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler is the most successful team in Formula E. The Audi factory team now intends to defend this top spot.
Rain, fireworks and all-out partying at Audi: in the final race of the 2019 DTM, the brand with the four rings again gave the competition no chance and crowned its most successful DTM season with a triple triumph in the finale at Hockenheim.
The second generation of the Audi RS 7 Sportback (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km: 11.6 – 11.4 (20.3 – 20.6 US mpg); combined CO2 emissions in g/km: 265 – 261 (426.5 – 420.0 g/mi)) has arrived, and it’s more unique than ever before. For the first time, Audi Sport is offering the high-performance Sportcoupé as a five seater, with much wider wheel arches and higher performance as well as improved efficiency. From the suspicious driver to the tech-savvy passenger: in the representative online study “The Pulse of Autonomous Driving”, Audi has produced a user typology of autonomous driving. In the context of the initiative “&Audi”, the mobility company Audi in cooperation with the market research institute Ipsos interviewed 21,000 people in nine countries on three continents. It shows that young, high-earning and well-educated “status-oriented trendsetters” and “tech-savvy passengers” most look forward to autonomous driving. Amongst “suspicious drivers”, who tend to be older with a lower level of income and education, skepticism is dominant. The “safety-oriented reluctant” would use autonomous driving only when others have gained experience with the technology. The largest user group are the “open-minded co-pilots”, who are fundamentally open to autonomous driving as long as they can take control at any time.
The triple has been perfected: Following the win of the DTM manufacturers’ championship, Audi also secured early title wins in the drivers’ and teams’ championships at the Nürburgring. The first DTM Champion in the new turbo era is René Rast, who only needed to finish Sunday’s race in third position to win the title.
Audi is bringing two world debuts and an array of show firsts to Frankfurt in September 2019. The brand with the four rings is using the International Motor Show (IAA) to showcase a stunning collection of new products, both in the e-mobility area and from its range of conventionally powered models. The Press Conference on September 10 will feature the unveiling of the Audi AI:TRAIL concept car, the vision of a future electrically powered off-roader. To the DTM title with TFSI power at an accelerated pace: Audi secured an early win of the manufacturers’ championship in the popular touring car racing series at the Lausitzring and is thus the first champion in the new turbo era. Four races before the end of the season, the brand with the Four Rings sits in the top spot out of reach of its rivals.
Jubilation in Japan: Kelvin van der Linde/Dries Vanthoor/Frédéric Vervisch celebrated victory in the 10 Hours of Suzuka, which makes for high suspense in the title race of the world’s only GT3 racing series before the finale in November.
A 1-2-3-4 success, maximum points scored, a historic result in qualifying, the lead in all three championships of the DTM extended: Audi achieved a true “Super Sunday” at Brands Hatch.
With a new e-scooter concept, Audi is responding to the urban trend towards multi-modal mobility. The Audi e-tron Scooter, combining the advantages of the electric scooter and the skateboard, is designed for sporty riders. To be transported by car, bus or train, the twelve-kilogram (26-pound) e-scooter can be folded up and conveniently stored in the back of the car, or if preferred pulled like a trolley. Above all, the Audi e-tron Scooter stands out thanks to its handling, which is like surfing waves. The rider has one hand free, and so is able to look around and give hand signals. Production and sales are planned for late 2020.
Audi is adding a compact SUV in coupé shape to its model range: the Audi Q3 Sportback. The new model combines the strong presence and versatile everyday convenience of an SUV with the sporty elegance and agile handling of a coupé. This makes it the first compact crossover of the Audi brand. The Audi SQ7 TDI (combined fuel consumption in l/100 km*: 7.6 - 7.4 (30.9 - 31.8 US mpg); combined CO2 emissions in g/km*: 200 - 194 (321.9 - 312.2 g/mi)), with its 435 metric hp V8 diesel engine, has been the top model of the product line since the spring of 2016. The large SUV now boasts a new, even more impressive design. Its interior features sport seats, MMI navigation plus, touch operation, and the Audi virtual cockpit including performance view as standard. The 4.0 TDI with electric powered compressor provides powerful propulsion from a standstill. The new Audi SQ7 TDI** will be introduced to European markets at the end of September and will be available from EUR 94,900. Following the season’s highlight at the Norisring that was extremely successful for Audi, DTM fans can look forward to their next treat: on July 20/21, the popular touring car racing series will visit the famous TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands.
At Spa in 2019, Audi Sport customer racing was battling for its third 24-hour race victory this season. At the end of a race that was dominated by freak weather conditions and interrupted for several hours by heavy rain, the Audi R8 LMS, with the leading position having been maintained by Audi DTM drivers Robin Frijns/Nico Müller/René Rast in the gripping final stage, again proved its powerful performance capacity. Even so, drivers and teams were deprived of a podium finish in the overall classification.
The A4 represents the core of the brand – after four years in the making, Audi has made the successful midsize model even tauter and sportier. Its exterior is shaped by the brand’s new design language, while the large MMI touch display offers the kind of operating experience customers will be familiar with from their smartphone. Many engine variants now come with mild hybrid systems (MHEV) – efficiency and comfort benefit from this broad-based electrification. Audi made the Formula E decider gripping until the last lap. At the New York finale, the Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler team claimed the runners-up honors in the electric racing series. Audi driver Lucas di Grassi concluded the 2018/2019 season in third place of the drivers’ championship.

A dominant victory on Saturday, a double podium on Sunday, a new track record and the lead extended in all three DTM classifications: Audi managed to deliver its so far strongest performance in its home round at the Norisring.
Audi is ready for a new category in motor racing: The Audi R8 LMS GT2 stands for several superlative features in Audi Sport customer racing’s program. With 470 kW (640 hp), it is by far the most powerful sports car in the eleven-year history of the customer racing program.
In the so far hottest DTM race of the new turbo era, the new Audi RS 5 DTM was the measure of all things. Nico Müller won Sunday’s race in commanding style at Misano (Italy) ahead of BMW driver Philipp Eng. René Rast finished third in spite of a puncture and thus extended his lead of the standings. Following an altogether strong performance in Italy, Audi is leading all three DTM classifications.

Both partners will work together to remediate the site of a former oil refinery and transform this industrial wasteland into a campus. The focus is on the development work for future-oriented projects. The future technology park IN-Campus is designed to be open, sustainable and close to nature. Team Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler is in the center of the battle to win both titles in Formula E. Audi is starting the Auto Shanghai 2019 motor show with two world premieres and a whole series of national innovations. The brand is presenting the visionary Audi AI:ME concept car in the southern Chinese metropolis. In addition, two electric models will make their series debut in Shanghai: the Audi e-tron* and the Q2 L e-tron, which was designed especially for China and is built in the Foshan plant. The compact SUV, which will be delivered to the first customers in the summer of 2019, is even experiencing its world premiere in Shanghai.

Following two consecutive victories in the California 8 Hours, Audi Sport customer racing achieved a fourth and a seventh position at Laguna Seca, USA, marking a successful debut of the 2019 generation of the Audi R8 LMS GT3 sports car in the Intercontinental GT Challenge (IGTC).

The 50th race of Formula E and another podium finish for Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler: Keeping a cool head, Lucas di Grassi finished the turbulent E-Prix in Hong Kong as the runner-up. Audi is showcasing its compact SUV study with electric drive at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. The Audi Q4 e-tron concept provides a glimpse of the next stage of Audi electric mobility and is due to be presented as a volume-production vehicle in late 2020/early 2021.
In late January, Audi sent its first fully electric-powered SUV onto the slopes where the world’s best ski racers battle for victory in the Hahnenkamm Race. The specially equipped Audi e-tron climbed the “Mausefalle” on the legendary “Streif”.

Hat-trick for Audi: For the third time in a row, the Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler team has won the E-Prix in Mexico City. In front of packed grandstands at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez circuit, Audi driver Lucas di Grassi notched up his ninth Formula E victory with a spectacular photo finish after a breathtaking maneuver in the last second.
In the hottest ever Formula E race, title defender Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler has claimed its first podium of the season in Santiago de Chile. Sam Bird from the Audi customer team Envision Virgin Racing pocketed the first victory of the Audi e-tron FE05.
The 2019 motorsport year will begin in Africa for Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler: On Saturday, January 12, the second ABB FIA Formula E Championship race of the season was held in Marrakesh (Morocco).
Audi will present an exhibition stand at the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The booth is designed around the motto "from driving experience to digital driving adventure". Following a five-month break, Formula E is returning to the race track next Saturday (December 15): In Ad Diriyah, on the outskirts of the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh, the fifth season of the fully electric racing series will begin. The Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler team with Daniel Abt, Lucas di Grassi and the newly developed Audi e-tron FE05 will be on the grid as the title defenders.
The brand with the four rings presents its first fully electric series-production model, the Audi e-tron. Right on time for the 20th anniversary of the first Audi TT, the brand is especially highlighting the sports car character of the new model. The brand has accordingly refined the design of its icon, enhanced the performance and extended the range of standard equipment. The new Audi Q3 is a family SUV with great all-round talents. It marks a step forward with its spaciousness and versatility, as well as its technology: Just like the Audi top-of-the-line models, it features a digital cockpit and a large MMI touch display. Numerous infotainment solutions from the full-size segment connect the compact SUV with its environment. New assist systems support the driver when parking, in town and on long journeys. Audi e-tron, the third: The brand with the ?four rings is presenting one of the stars of the 2018 Auto Show in the movie capital Los Angeles. With the electric powered Audi e-tron GT concept a four-door coupé is making its debut as a show car. The volume-production counterpart is set to follow in around two years.
In a captivating finale in South Africa, Audi driver Mattias Ekstr?m secured once again the runner-up title in the World Rallycross Championship (World RX) at the wheel of the Audi S1 EKS RX quattro. The Swede also finished the final race of the season in Cape Town in second place behind World Champion Johan Kristoffersson (Volkswagen).

In the FIA World Rallycross (World RX) season’s penultimate round at the Estering near Buxtehude, Mattias Ekstr?m and Andreas Bakkerud in positions two and three celebrated the first two podium finishes in a single event for EKS Audi Sport in the 2018 season. In summer-like temperatures, Ekstr?m in the Audi S1 EKS RX quattro only had to admit defeat to World Champion Johan Kristoffersson by 1.849 seconds.
Six victories in a row! Audi driver René Rast won the season’s last race at the Hockenheimring as well, so topping his own record from the previous day. On Sunday, behind Mercedes-Benz driver Gary Paffett, the 31-year-old German from Audi Sport Team Rosberg secured the runner-up’s spot in the championship. The DTM’s new record man in the end was only lacking four points to successfully defend the title.
On December 15, a new era in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship will begin in Ad Diriyah (Saudi Arabia): Thanks to the electric cars’ greater range, the drivers will compete with only one race car for the first time. Audi now unveils the newly developed Audi e-tron FE05, with which Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi will again make a bid for the titles.
The evolution of the Audi R8 LMS GT3 was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show on October 2, 2018. The new version of the model, successful worldwide in sprint and endurance racing, is tailored closely to the customer requirements regarding technology and operating costs.
Podium on US debut: during the first outing for the FIA World Rallycross Championship (World RX) in the USA, EKS Audi Sport scored its seventh top 3 result of the season. With temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius in Austin (Texas), both drivers in the Audi S1 EKS RX quattro reached the final for the best six. The Norwegian Andreas Bakkerud took third overall while team mate Mattias Ekstr?m finished the final in fifth place after contact with an opponent.
The 100th victory for Audi in the DTM, another double strike by René Rast and a total of five of six possible podium places: Audi remained unbeaten on the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (Austria), too.
At the The Charge event in San Francisco, it will finally strip off the camouflage and reveal itself to the global public: the Audi e-tron. With a range suitable for longer distances, an electric all-wheel drive, and a charging capacity of up to 150 kW at quick-charging stations, it sets a new tone for the world of electromobility. But Audi is driving more than just electromobility forward. At the event in San Francisco, Audi will showcase its plans for the future of mobility in a comprehensive theme park: along with the Audi e-tron, autonomous driving and digital business models will mark the start of a new era.

A thrilling race weekend with a decision on the final meters: In round eight of the FIA World Rallycross Championship season, Andreas Bakkerud and Mattias Ekstr?m just barely missed scoring the first victory this season for EKS Audi Sport, but regained second place in the teams’ classification in front of 80,000 enthusiastic fans.
An all-new challenge is in store for DTM Champion René Rast and his fellow drivers this weekend: The team from Audi Sport will compete in the first DTM race to be held under floodlights. The Italian seaside resort of Misano Adriatico will host the first two night races in DTM history on Saturday and Sunday (August 25/26), each starting at 10.30 PM (CEST).
